OpenSciEd Curriculum Kits & Professional Development

The Einstein Project is a Certified Professional Development Provider for OpenSciEd.  If you are explring these materials as a possible resource for your middle school, we are happy to provide a short 1/2 day or full day introduction to the materials. If you have committed to implementing OpenSciEd, we can lead your team through a 3-4 day curriculum launch.
We are also leasing curriculum kits for ten of the available middle school units. With plans to have all of the other eight available by second semester. High school and elementary units are in the works! The Einstein Project is your source for support in implementing high-quality STEM education.

Propeller Boat

The Propeller Boat Project combines a simple series circuit (motor, battery & switch) with foam and plastic to create fast forward motion on water. The speed is determined by the shape of your hull, your weight distribution and your propeller design. Hit the switch and watch it go! All needed materials are supplied. This project requires the use of common tools (list below). Soldering is encouraged, but is not absolutely required. (though it's a great maker skill to learn!)

There are lots of examples of cool boat projects on YouTube. We learned a lot from Brainergizer https://youtu.be/vQNlrKKKxwQ
